Decide the fixed slot first
Whalers Village is an oceanfront shopping center on Kaanapali Beach in West Maui, with specialty retail, a food court, and full-service restaurants. Most of a visit is flexible: browse shops and leave room for a meal or beachwalk.
A booked Flight of Aloha showing adds a fixed time. For trips on or after its planned December 1, 2026 opening, decide whether to include a film before arranging meals and shopping around it. Recheck the opening and your chosen session before committing.

Flight of Aloha: planned opening and what to confirm
Flight of Aloha is scheduled to open December 1, 2026, on Level 3 of Whalers Village, Suite H14, across from Maui Escape Rooms. The operator is selling presale tickets for December 1 onward. It is a cinema simulation: motion seats facing a screen, with wind, mist, scent, and sound effects. It is not an aircraft tour.
The operator describes a 25 to 45 minute core visit, with a 12 to 15 minute preshow and an 8 to 12 minute film. The Double Feature pairs Naupaka with Whale Song. Ask for the total visit time for your chosen package before putting a meal reservation immediately afterward.
Advertised prices are $44.99 for a Single Flight and $59.99 for the Double Feature. Confirm these points with the operator before buying:
- Session availability for your date and time.
- The final total, including any fees.
- Children's eligibility and whether young children need their own ticket.
- The viewing arrangement you need. The operator advertises accessible viewing and says non-moving options may be available on request; confirm the details in advance.
- Current dates, films, and refund terms.
Bring your garage parking ticket; the operator offers validation for up to two hours. Check the official Flight of Aloha site for current details.

Fit meals, shops, and the beach around it
Whalers Village, at 2435 Kaanapali Parkway, is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily, but individual tenants set their own hours, so check the specific restaurant or shop you want. Named full-service options include Hula Grill, Leilani's, and Monkeypod Kitchen by Merriman. The food court, Hula Grill's Barefoot Bar, and Leilani's Beach Bar offer outdoor seating, which suits a before-or-after-film meal. See our casual dining guide for more.
The center lists a splash pad in the Ohana Courtyard. Check its events page for date-specific programs before building your day around a class or performance.
Practical rules from the official FAQ:
- Garage parking is $8 per hour, $50 maximum per day.
- Validation is available with a qualifying purchase. Ask the tenant what purchase qualifies and how much parking time it covers; do not assume a meal and film extend the same validation.
- Only service animals are allowed.
- The center offers no stroller or wheelchair rentals. Its FAQ also says there is no farmers market.
- Elevators are available, including on the upper level between the Hawaii Wildlife Discovery Center and Maui Escape Rooms. Ask the center or operator about any specific access needs.
Current hours and parking details are on the official visitor page. For the wider area, see our shopping and activities guides.
