Maui Brewing Company’s Kihei operation is the practical Maui anchor for visitors who want a large tap list and a brewery-centered stop. Use the company’s current site for location, reservations, tour availability, and menu details.
Do not build the visit around a beer or tour time copied from an old article. Production schedules, private events, and limited releases change; the current booking page owns the answer.
Ola Brew is the stronger fit when the group wants beer alongside hard juice, cider, seltzer, and nonalcoholic choices. Confirm whether the current Kona or Hilo location matches that day’s side of the island.
Hawaiʻi Island distances punish a brewery-only detour. Attach the stop to lodging, an airport day, or another nearby activity rather than crossing the island for one tap list.
Kauaʻi Beer Company’s closure does not leave the island without local beer. Kauaʻi Island Brewing lists operating locations in Port Allen and Kōloa, while HST Brewing says its Līhuʻe taproom opened in April 2026.
Choose by route and group fit. Port Allen pairs with west-side and boat days, Kōloa with the south shore, and Līhuʻe with airport or east-side movement. Confirm age restrictions, food service, and current hours on the operator’s site.
Check whether the taproom has a kitchen, keiki seating, nonalcoholic drinks, accessible entry, and reservations. A great beer list can still be the wrong stop for a hungry family or a group with one person who does not drink.
Ask what was brewed in Hawaiʻi if local production matters to you; a Hawaii brand name does not always answer where a particular batch was made. Let the bartender describe the current board instead of treating an old “flagship” list as permanent.
Decide transportation before the first pour. Use a walkable stop, a designated driver, or a rideshare plan that is actually available where the taproom sits. Rural pickup can be slower and less predictable than urban Honolulu service.
