E Kanikapila Kākou 2026 Concert Series

The E Kanikapila Kākou (EKK) Concert Series, presented by the Garden Island Arts Council, is one of Kauaʻi's most treasured musical traditions. The free Monday-night series features celebrated Hawaiian musicians — slack-key guitar virtuosos, ʻukulele masters, and kumu hula — sharing their music along with the stories and cultural heritage behind each song.

New venue for 2026: Due to ballroom renovations at the Outrigger Kauaʻi Beach Resort & Spa, the 2026 series has relocated to the Kauaʻi Community College Performing Arts Center in Puhi. The Outrigger Kauaʻi Beach Resort remains a sponsor.

Kauaʻi Whale Watching Season

February is peak whale watching season on Kauaʻi, with humpback whales visible from the south and east shores. Boat tours depart from Port Allen and Nāwiliwili Harbor for close encounters with local operators including Holo Holo Charters, Captain Andy's, Blue Dolphin Charters, and Kauai Sea Tours.
