The April 2026 transition is complete. Hawaiian Airlines joined oneworld and moved onto the passenger service system it shares with Alaska Airlines. The useful task now is not preparing for a future cutover; it is understanding what the finished system changes on a current reservation.
Alaska’s April 22 systems announcement and Hawaiian’s oneworld announcement are the primary sources for the integration.
All Alaska- and Hawaiian-operated flights now carry the AS code in the shared reservation system. A Hawaiian-branded flight should be disclosed as “operated by Alaska as Hawaiian Airlines,” so the aircraft and onboard brand can still be Hawaiian even when the code begins with AS.
Check the operating disclosure, not only the flight number. That is where you confirm which product, check-in flow, aircraft, and onboard experience the itinerary is selling.
The combined Alaska Hawaiian app manages both brands and supports a single record locator. Alaska says the shared system also supports changes, cancellations, boarding passes, and cash or points bookings across its partner network.
After any schedule or aircraft change, reopen the seat map and operating disclosure. Do not assume an old screenshot, saved boarding pass, or third-party itinerary reflects the latest gate, seat, or cabin name.
HawaiianMiles moved into Atmos Rewards before the April systems cutover. Current earning, redemption, status, and partner rules now belong to Atmos Rewards, not to an archived HawaiianMiles chart.
If a balance, status, or name does not match, resolve it before travel. Keep the ticket number and prior account details, but use the current airline support path rather than advice written before the migration.
Atmos Rewards members can earn and redeem on oneworld airlines, while eligible alliance-status benefits can apply on Hawaiian flights. Lounge access, baggage, priority services, and mileage credit still depend on status, fare, route, and operating carrier.
Never infer a lounge or bag benefit from the oneworld logo alone. Open the current benefit page for the loyalty program credited on the ticket and save the relevant rule before departure.
The code and app changed, but the practical interisland questions remain: checked-bag terms, connection time, terminal, rental-car handoff, and whether separate tickets protect the connection. Compare the full itinerary rather than choosing solely by points.
If the trip uses two airlines or separate reservations, confirm who transfers bags and what happens after a delay. A loyalty benefit does not automatically join separate tickets into one protected journey.
Two days before travel, confirm the operating carrier, AS flight number, record locator, seat, baggage allowance, terminal, loyalty number, and connection time in the current app. Repeat the check after any notification.
